Choosing the Best Treatment Path

When choosing treatment for addiction, it’s important to understanding the different levels of care. Optima offers three different options to meet our clients’ specific and individual needs: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Outpatient Programs(OP). Each offers varying levels of structure and support, addressing different stages of recovery and individual circumstances.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): PHP is the most intensive of the three. It’s designed for individuals who need a higher level of support but don’t require 24-hour supervision like in inpatient treatment. Patients typically attend treatment five to seven days a week for several hours each day, receiving therapy, medical monitoring, and psychiatric care. PHP is ideal for those who need a high level of care but still want to return home in the evenings.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): IOP provides a step down from PHP, offering a balance between structured treatment and flexibility. Patients usually attend sessions three to five times a week for a few hours each day. The program includes individual therapy, group therapy, and sometimes family counseling. IOP is suitable for individuals who have a stable home environment and are transitioning from inpatient or PHP care.

Outpatient Program (OP): OP offers the most flexibility and is designed for individuals who are further along in their recovery or those with mild symptoms. Patients typically attend therapy sessions once or twice a week, focusing on maintaining sobriety and managing any ongoing challenges. OP allows individuals to continue with their daily responsibilities, such as work or school, while still receiving support.

Choosing the right program depends on your specific needs and your personal circumstances. If you are unsure which option is best for you, contact us! We are here to help you choose the program best suited for your recovery journey.
